Old OC compilation

I found your tumblr through some random search, and I saw this as the background. I was trying to figure out what Tex was, but I see you left a comment here that confirmed he's a dog. (Yay, I was right!  )

Anyway, I came out of lurking to say that I really like Tex, but I think he could be even more awesome if you tried tweaking him, maybe? Not sure how... I'm really not particularly good at distinctive character design, but I think he has the most immediate potential. I suppose it's the simplicity of his overall design, but he really stands out as the most interesting character in other images too. I wish I could offer some specific suggestions for what to play around with, but I'm not sure what to suggest, honestly.  

Kaaji would be my second choice, along these lines. While he's definitely more distinctive, I feel some parts of his design don't harmonize as well as they could? Or at least, could be better served with a little more streamlining, or exaggeration? I like his general combination of sharp points and curved lines, but I don't know if it's currently the best flow amongst those shapes? I'm sorry, I really can't think how to express what I mean. Otherwise, he's an interesting dragon, and I like the color combinations.
